The forming rollers are arranged in pairs and are not connected to each other, but the two forming rollers of each pair are positioned alternatively on the upper and the lower shaft. This ensures that a gap is always obtained between the sheets. At the same time it is possible to change from one profile to another by simply replacing a single set of forming rollers with a new set of laterally pre-adjusted ones.

This mode of construction eliminates the need to replace all of the forming rollers with new ones when switching from one profile to another. It is therefore considerably easier to reset from one profile to the next and it is also quicker. In addition, the length inaccuracy of the forming rollers can be reduced substantially. This is a very important advantage over known machines.
