Maintenance of a Hydraulic Uncoiler

A hydraulic uncoiler is a special device for roll forming line, cut to length line, slitting line and embossing line. It can also be used in other metal sheet production lines according to their relevant configurations. It can be equipped with various devices, such as a pneumatic or hydraulic hold up and hold down arm, a coil loading car, a double drum decoiler or servo motorized lateral guides. These can make the whole operation much easier and faster, so that the decoiler can work continuously without any delay.

The main component of a hydraulic uncoiler is a moving shaft, which is connected to four fan-shaped plates through inclined dovetail grooves on the end faces. The movement shaft is supported by a rotary oil cylinder and can be expanded and contracted in the radial direction. The piston rod of the cylinder drives the front end quadrangular axis to slide axially through the pull rod at the center of the reel shaft, which in turn drives the sector plate to radially expand and contract. The reel can be increased in nominal diameter by adding an additional four sector plates.

In order to ensure the correct operation of the hydraulic uncoiler, it is necessary to maintain the hydraulic system regularly. This maintenance includes the following steps: 1. Adding the proper hydraulic oil to the system. This is done every month (or when the working time reaches 260 hours) and is important to the smooth operation of the system. 2. Regularly checking the hydraulic system to see if there is moisture, dust and other mechanical debris. The debris needs to be removed in time to avoid damage to the system.

3. Regularly cleaning the piping of the hydraulic system. This includes flushing the piping regularly with clean water to prevent blockages. It is also important to replace the filter of the hydraulic pump, which can be purchased from a reliable hydraulic supply company. 4. Checking and fastening the support tile of the expansion and contraction mandrel to ensure that it is in good condition, and replacing it when necessary.

In addition, the ancillary shoring of the hydraulic decoiler should be checked and fastened to ensure that it is stable. Finally, it is a good idea to have the electric control box of the hydraulic uncoiler opened, and to check the fastening of the contact parts inside. If there is any looseness, it should be repaired immediately so that the hydraulic uncoiler can operate normally. Moreover, the contact parts should be firmly tightened to prevent electrical damage and sudden failure during use. These precautions will ensure the reliability of the hydraulic uncoiler and protect it from damage caused by improper operation or carelessness. In this way, the hydraulic uncoiler can continue to serve the customer for a long time.
